About me
Abdullah Al Safi is a Ph.D. student in ECE at Virginia Tech, with research interest in next-generation wireless communication systems. He earned his MS in ECE from Texas State University, where his thesis focused on dynamic Target Wake Time scheduling for improving energy efficiency, throughput, and fairness in mixed Wi-Fi 6 and legacy networks. His research experience includes Open RAN, AI-RAN, Wi-Fi 6, and Wi-Fi
HaLow systems. He has worked with the Firecell Orion Open RAN testbed.
