Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) is emerging as a key 6G capability, but enabling sensing in a real cellular stack requires exposing rich PHY measurements without disrupting real-time operation.

This talk presents lessons from two open-source cellular prototypes and how they can inform ISAC support in OCUDU. MIMO-RIC extends the srsRAN 5G stack with UCSD’s EdgeRIC controller to expose per-antenna, per-subcarrier PUSCH/DMRS channel estimates and feed control policies back to the RAN.
